Front Rack & Pinion Kit

The Front Rack & Pinion Kit includes:

• The Rack modified & reconditioned with new Tie Rods

• Tie Rod ends

• The brackets for the Front Rack are fairly involved so we will modify them. You'll need to provide the crossmember and lower control arms. (you will get back the modified crossmember)

• Lower Control Arms will be modified (the mounting points for the sway bar have to be extended forward to clear the Tie Rods)

• Steering Column & Shaft

  • The Pinion Shaft is splined to match up with the Commodore Intermediate Shaft, so that you don't have to rely on the old Coder pin that can fall out.

The cost of the Front Rack kit is $820.00

In addition to the kit you will also need to supply

If we fit the Front Rack & Pinion Kit

To have us fit the kit will cost you  $1,640.00.  This includes:

• Kit

• Modification Plate

• Wheel alignment

• Labor to fit the kit

Note that we require payment for the kit up front.  If there are any hassles which increase the labor time, additional time will be charged.

HR cross members that you supply which require disassembly and cleaning, will incur an additional charge of $50.00.  Sandblasting is an additional $120.00, and all components will then be painted with black enamel or primer.

The only thing you are required to do before you bring the car to us is to give your engine bay and suspension a scrub with the degreaser so that when we're working on your 'pride & joy' we don't leave grubby hand prints all over your paint and upholstery.
